Review organization usage and changes

Use Analytics to understand where reported AI usage comes from. Use the Audit log to review administrative changes. Billing shows the plan and its allowances.

Choose a useful scope

  1. Open the organization’s Admin area and choose Analytics.
  2. Select the period to review.
  3. Choose a metric, such as Total tokens, Tokens in, Tokens out, or Cached tokens.
  4. Group contributors by workspace, historical stack, or persona. Use the filters to narrow the view.

Start with the whole organization. Narrow the report after you see which workspace or persona contributes the most. Reset scope returns you to the wider view.

Read the totals carefully

The report contains provider-reported token usage. Missing usage is not proof that a task cost nothing. Token totals are also not a currency total. Check your AI provider’s account for its charges and billing details.

Input tokens represent information sent to a model. Output tokens represent its response. Cache figures describe reported reuse of earlier input. Use the same metric and period when comparing contributors.

Historical stack attribution records where work belonged when it happened. Moving a persona does not mean every earlier run should be read as work by its new team.

Investigate a surprising increase

  1. Select the day or contributor in the chart.
  2. Review the workspace, stack, and persona detail for that period.
  3. Open the relevant persona’s Run Logs to understand the work.
  4. Check for a repeating task, repeated service events, or instructions that leave the finish condition unclear.

Use token quotas and narrower tasks where appropriate. A quota controls reported usage. It is not a promise of an exact maximum provider bill.

Review administrative changes

Open Audit log in the organization’s Admin area. Read the event, actor, and time together. Use it to investigate questions such as who changed a role or an organization setting.

For an agent’s reasoning and tool activity, use its Run Logs. For a team’s conversation, use Stack Stream. The Audit log covers administrative activity and does not replace those views.

Check plan allowances separately

Open Billing for subscription status, shared allowances, invoices, and payment actions. Monthly tool-call reports and token analytics measure different things. See plans, usage, and billing.
