PERSONASTACK DOCUMENTATION
Skills
A skill gives a persona a procedure for a particular kind of work. It can explain how to review a brief, use a service, or produce a consistent result.
Start here
Find a skill that fits the job or write a small custom one. Read its instructions and requirements before enabling it. Try it on a short example you can review.
Use selected skills through MCP
PersonaStack makes a persona’s selected catalog and custom skills available through that persona’s MCP connection. A client must support the MCP Skills extension to discover and load them as skills. Check your client’s support before relying on this delivery.
The same selections apply to every client connected to that persona. Clients connected to another persona use that persona’s selections. Selecting a private custom skill allows connected clients to read its instructions and supporting files.
PersonaStack still prepares selected skills for hosted agent runtimes. Native skills installed directly on an external host stay managed on that host. See Use selected skills in your MCP client for client requirements.
