Choose what a persona can use
Capabilities enable built-in tools. Integrations connect the persona to particular accounts and services. Configure both around the job you want this persona to do.
Before you start
Open the persona’s settings from Agent Personas. Check its assigned AI Provider and location. Some capabilities depend on where the agent runs.
1. Choose the built-in capabilities
In Persona Settings, read the description beside each checkbox before enabling it.
- Use a Web Browser: lets the persona browse websites and use web apps. Each persona can have one browser session at a time. Reuse or close the open session before creating another.
- Prior Run Access: lets it inspect its previous runs.
- Receive Email: gives it an incoming address for tasks such as using verification links or sign-in codes. The address appears after the capability is enabled.
- Send Concerns via Email: forwards concerns raised by the persona to your email.
- Scheduled Tasks: allows recurring scheduled runs and overnight maintenance work.
- Manage PersonaStack: lets the persona manage personas, stacks, and your custom skills. It can also read account usage, settings, integration status, stack details, and concerns.
- Personal Memory: gives it a place to keep useful information between tasks.
Capability changes save as you make them. Wait for the confirmation before starting work that depends on the change. If a control is disabled, read its explanation instead of assuming it is available.
2. Select connected services
Scroll to Integrations. Select the configured connections the persona needs in each category. Connecting an account to the workspace and assigning it to this persona are separate steps.
When a category has no configured connections, set up the service first, then return here. Where a chat integration offers a separate receive or wake setting, review that control as well as the main assignment.
3. Check location-dependent features
Build and Push Containers and Enable LAN Access depend on the selected provider location. Read the availability message beside each setting. For your own infrastructure, first configure a suitable agent location.
If a Desktop Control selector is available, choose the connected computer the persona should use. A connected computer and a Kubernetes agent location are different resources.
4. Choose who can message the persona
Use Personas allowed to message this persona to add permitted senders. Personas in the same stack can always message one another. The selector stays hidden when there are no other personas to choose.
Check the result
Open chat and ask for one small task using the newly enabled tool. For a connected service, name the account or connection you intend it to use. If access fails, check the saved assignment and the integration’s own status.
Next, configure memory, files, and Dreaming when the persona’s work needs continuity between runs.
