Schedule a persona’s work
Use a one-time task for work at a specific date and time. Use a recurring task for a routine such as a weekday project summary.
Prepare the persona
First, try the task in chat. Check that the persona can reach the required service and produce the result you want. Its AI provider and integrations must still be usable when the scheduled time arrives.
In Persona Settings, check Scheduled Tasks. Open the persona’s Tasks button near Run Logs to manage its schedule.
The task page shows a Timezone summary. Check it before entering a time. Use the displayed timezone when interpreting the schedule and its next run.
Create a one-time task
- Under One-time Scheduled Tasks, choose Create Task.
- Enter a Task name you will recognize later.
- Choose the Date and Time.
- Write the Prompt that should start the task.
- Choose Create.
Check the saved row’s Next time and prompt. A one-time task is useful for a follow-up you already know you will need, such as reviewing a draft tomorrow afternoon.
Create a recurring task
Under Recurring Tasks, choose Create Recurring Task. Enter a name and choose a Repeat option: Every day, Weekdays, Weekly, or Monthly.
Set the day and time requested by that option. Review the schedule sentence in the form, write the prompt, and choose Create. Check the next run in the saved row.
Write a prompt that stands on its own
A scheduled prompt should identify the source, the time range, the output, and any limit on changes. Avoid “do the same thing again” when the required context is not included.
Review open tasks in the Website Launch project using the assigned task-tracker integration. Summarize overdue tasks and tasks due in the next two days. Group them by owner. Do not change tasks or send messages to other people.
Replace the project and service with ones assigned to your persona. If you want a notification elsewhere, name its destination and connect the sending integration first.
Check what happened
After the scheduled time, open Execution History. It shows the scheduled time, status, duration, and a View run link when a run is available.
If the work did not start, check the persona’s pause state, provider, and quota messages. A saved schedule does not override those requirements.
Change or remove a task
Choose Edit on the task row to change its name, prompt, or timing. Save the change and review the next run. Use Delete when the task should no longer be scheduled.
