Connect and assign integrations

An integration gives a persona access to a service, account, or device. Save the connection in your workspace, then choose which personas can use it.

1. Choose the service you need

Open Integrations in the app sidebar. Search for the service by name, or browse the categories. Open its page to see existing connections and the action for adding another.

Start with one service that supports a specific task. For example, connect your task tracker when you want a persona to review an existing project. You can add more connections later.

2. Save a connection

  1. Choose the page’s Add, Connect, or New Connection action.
  2. Give the connection a recognizable name. Include the account or purpose when you have more than one.
  3. Follow the service’s sign-in or credential instructions.
  4. Choose the available access settings. Some services separate reading, sending, and incoming events.
  5. Finish the setup and check the saved connection for a status or attention message.

The setup differs by service. Use the fields on that page for credentials. If the service offers a picker for projects, rooms, or other resources, select the ones the persona needs.

3. Assign it to a persona

  1. Open Agent Personas, then open the persona’s settings.
  2. Find the Integrations section.
  3. Find the service under its category.
  4. Select your saved connection. Some services use checkboxes; others use a dropdown.
  5. Wait for the save feedback before leaving the page.

If the connection is missing, check that you are in the same workspace where you created it. The service’s management link beside its heading takes you back to its configuration page.

4. Decide whether events should start work

Some connections show Wake on incoming events beneath the selected integration. Turn it on when incoming messages or events should start this persona. Leave it off when the persona only needs to use the service during work you start elsewhere.

The connection also needs its own receive settings configured. See Start work from incoming events for the difference between connection access and persona wake settings.

5. Try a small task

Open the persona’s chat. Name the service, resource, and result you want. Start with a read-only request, such as summarizing one project’s open tasks. Check the response and Run Logs before asking it to change anything.
